Today, Janaïna Milheiro offers a personal and innovative vision of bird feathers. She develops delicate and colorful creations that bring a touch of French luxury to the most beautiful interiors in the world.
The workshop has a vast collection of more than 300 models. She has collaborated with passionate clients that include collectors, interior designers and highly demanding fashion houses or luxury brands like Guerlain, Hermès, Valentino, Cartier…
Bird feathers are worked using various textile techniques: feather chain mail, feather weaves, embroidered and beaded feathers, veneered and flocked feathers, feathers inset in various materials (wood, stone, fabric, paper, brass, plastic).
Janaïna Milheiro’s feather creations can be used for various applications:
- Installations, showcases and feather decor integrating the structures most appropriate to the project.
- Artworks and sculptures that can be inspired by existing creations or created specifically on request.
- Textiles and surfaces for tailor-made projects that can be inspired by a collection of more than 200 models based on bird feathers: creation of screens, walls, wall coverings, curtains, headboards …
- Decorative laminated glass panels incorporating bird feathers (encapsulated between two extra-white glass plates) whose beauty and delicacy are preserved for indoor or outdoor use: doors, partitions, wall coverings, shower panels, floor slabs, stairs, balustrades, windows, tables…
