Olga Engel, designer of emotions
Olga Engel is a designer who managed to combine luxury, minimalism and functionality in her works full of irony.
At our French Collection event in Piasa, Olga took part in a public talk and answered questions from Kira Hosany, founder of the French Design Center.
Olga talked about her interesting career from an interior designer to an object designer, about the process of creating her objects and how she is inspired by her own emotions, especially ones from the childhood, to create objects that reflect her inner world and memories.
Olga is one of the rare Russian designers represented by a collectible design gallery in Europe (Armel Soyer). The French Design Center was happy to promote the Franco-Russian cultural exchange, especially since France, and Paris, are central to Olga’s work and life.
